AUDI A5 8T 8F Suspension Squeaks

I have a 2009 A5 S-Line. I had the lower control arms replaced and the upgraded bushings replaced back in 2010 by audi Dlr. Now I have an annoying squeaking sound from suspension or steering (bushings I think) that make the car sound like a jalopy when Im going slow or turning into my driveway. I took it to the dealer and they are telling me that it probably needs to be lubricated. Has anyone heard

they replace both of the lower rear control arm bushings ( one for each side of your front suspension) and i misunderstood why your lower control arms were replaced... i thought you were saying that they replaced them for the lower bushings.. ( those last about 80k-100k miles. but yes those lower ball joints do go bad between 30k-35k ( normally due to harsh driving condition aka you driving your audi

Yep - its been a while but you are correct. The TB was for the shimmyvibration in front suspension. The dealer replaced the lower control arm bushings under the TSB but had to replace the lower LF ball joint as well (time coincident). Do you know of any after market (good quality) ball joints to replace the stock lower ball joints 30-35K miles seems way too soon for ball joints to faildeterioriate.

AUDI A5 8T 8F 2011 Audi A5 Stasis Package

Anyone have any experience with the Stasis upgrade from your audi dealer Its 1295 for the SW upgrade 300 labor from my audi dealer (Rector in Burlingame CA). Wondering if I can get it cheaper elsewhere without voiding my warranty. What gets me is the labor cost Its a simple SW upgrade what kind of labor could that possible involve

AUDI A5 8T 8F Audi A5 or S Models Quality

Im on the market for an audi & Im wondering what kind of cars they are Are they considered top of the line up there with Mercedes & BMW Lexus Are they well built quality cars with little problems & maintenance issues Also how much can the A5 be had for along with the S line all in 2 door

Great car. Only had the front suspension issue that was resolved by my dealer and audi of America. Its easy to drive and getting great gas mileage despite getting on the throttle every now and then One of the best cars ever and has an industry leading business model. IMO the tech stuff is over-rated including NAV - but I couldnt be more thrilled with the performance and luxury. Cheers

AUDI A4 B8 2009 A4 front seats

Some 09 A4s have awsome front seats with what appears to be an adjustable thigh support and some have boring circular patterned front seats with no seperate thigh support. At first I thought this was a difference between the sport package and non and then I thought it was the difference between the Prestige model and the rest. But so far all I can tell is the European seat in any trim is more sporty

But I do have to say I saw a nice A5 Prestige in red yesterday with the 19s Sport PKG (s-line)and it had the basic seats in the front. Is audi just sending out what they have Here is what my order sheet says when I placed it in regards to the seat

AUDI A5 8T 8F S5 wheel vibrations

I dont know if anyone else if having this problem but I have been suffering from horrible wheel vibrations in my 09 s5. The dealer keeps telling me its my wheels are out of balance. But as I have put my winter wheels on balanced and all I still have the same effects... Is it the dynamic system

I have an A5 S-Line and have a vibration or shimmy at high speeds - above 65 mph. Ive had the wheels rebalanced and the suspension checked by my dealer. The shimmy went away but came back the next day following the left front wheel rebalance. I suspect something in the suspension is not quite up to par. Let me know if you figure it out.

AUDI A5 8T 8F Audi A5 External S Line Kit

Is it possible to purchase the external S Line kit (front bumper side sills back bumper and suspensions) anywhere I have been looking online but with no luck (I am not interested i Iltek or Riegers kits). Also how much would such a kit run (with painting installing etc) Thanks

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 Audi A5 vs. e92 BMW 335i

Looks like audis coming out to compete w the e92 the back looks almost the same as the e92... 4.2L v8 wonder how much it will cost... httpwww.autoblog.com20070220meet-the-audi-a5 Here is the new s5 coming to compete w the new e92 m3 httpwww.autoblog.com20070220a...ked-a5-images I like the back of the car because...well weve all seen that back before on the BMW so creativity is somewhat lost but I guess

BMW SERIES 3 F30 4 Series Spied with Less Camo Taking a Break Next to an Audi A5

BMW is letting some of the camo go from the upcoming 4 Series and we were able to get a peek at what is underneath while this 435i sat next to a audi A5. We have seen the Concept Coupe and have all been wondering what will make it through to the production models this July -- based on these photos it looks to be missing a lot of the more extreme treatments that the concept had. While a good number

I like this. Normal front and rear fascia not Bondesque frills from a concept that need to hide a machine gun. This is pretty obviously X-drive and it still sits where standard F30 sits so 20 mm lower for standard coupe suspension is going to look really really good. Yes during my ED in a brand new E92 the only cars around that were catching my attention were A5s. That car looks awesome. Give credit where credit is deserved.

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 2009 A4A5 vs. e90e92 328335i -- looks good.

Looks like audi has gone the right way and finally placed the engine and trans. further behind the front axle one of the reasons many bmw owners did not consider audi. Its now official the A4S4 will be on the same platform as the A5S5 and it looks good and will be good competition for BMW. Also the quattro is now 6040 split similar to BMWs which will make the drive more rear wheel based much more enjoyable

FORD F150 Suspension Question for you techies

Ok so i know this is an f150 forum but i have a question about a 2007 avalanche Z71. I am good friends with my boss and he loves my f150 and since im an f150 owner i figured id help him out. He is lookin to level out his truck and get some aftermarket shoes. Any suggestions on non lift suspension components to help I have looked at the rancho quick lift but wanted to ask around first. I know the chevys cant run big tires like us without lifts because of their silly fender design hahaha

He doesnt want to go high at all but he also doesnt want to go cheap either. Lifts are basically out of the picture even though he liked the 4 inch idea he just bought his fiance a new audi a5 so i think we are sticking with the spacers. But the nice thing about the rancho quick lift is you can tune your front suspension with the controller. I just broke the news he wasnt going to be able to run 35s like me without a lift though

BMW SERIES 5 F10 F11 201314 Audi A6 vs 201314 535i

Hi Im a long time BMW fan but wife has her heart set on an audi A6. So looking to buy a 3.0T A6. I dont know much about these cars and know more about BMWs. I might get a biased opinion here but I want to hear what other car enthusiasts have to say about the A6. For me personally I agreed to her getting the A6 because I test drove the 2010 E60 and the F10 and there is a noticeable difference is steering

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 To current 335i coupe drivers... need opinion

This is a question to only those who currently drive a 335i coupe Do you have any regrets getting a BMW instead of G37 If so what are they Im looking for an honest opinions... of course I udnerstand that some people will defend their purchase decision - even though they might feel different inside. And this is a BMW forum. Here is my background. Im about to turn 29 years old... single (no wife or kids).

over the years including Nissans (Zs and Maximas) VWs Mazda Rx-7s Volvos Mercedes Porsches and even an MG. I have driven G35s both coupe and sedan form. I even did the BMW sponsored driving event not long ago where they compared the 335 coupe to the G35 coupe. I have not driven the G37 and dont car for its looks. I have also not driven the A5 but I do like its looks. Although Ive never owned an audi

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 October ED bummer....

Looks like my planned October 26th ED is gone the way of the dodo... My CA has advised me he cant get a date until Late November even though Ive set this up for an October deliever back on the 19th of March. Youd think being that early would warrent being able to get an October delievery. Late November doesnt work for me for several reason 1. Thanksgiving 2. December weekend obligations 3. Have to

Too bad the S60-R looked good in a parking spot. To the OP I currently still own an audi

MERCEDES BENZ CL First Benz - CL55 AMG

Just purchased a beautiful 03 CL55 AMG. Silver on black interior. I would like to upgrade the wheels to the staggard 19 CL65 AMG wheels. Ive tried to look on ebay for a few options but obviously will only buy OEM. Im sure there a many that have done this and just need a little input as to what to expect suspension height problems any rubbing etc. Other than that Im happy to enter the Benz world. Any suggestions with the car is appreciated.

36mm rear. Can 10mm spacers be used in order to get the wheels in the factory spec range or would doing this in turn lose some integrity from the wheel to hub Also lug bolts may need to be longer. As far as the tires go since the aftermarket wheels seem to be all 8.5 and 9.5 I probably will do a larger set 255 (F) and 275 (R). As for being a MB purist i do carry that mindset somewhat. I own an audi

Hi all I do not own a BMW but am in the market for one. I have long been debating between BMW 3 series or audi A5 and I think I have made up my mind. Now Im looking for a BMW to buy in the next 3 months tops. The deal I found is from this guy who is going through some financial hardships and is looking to cut down on expeneses. The car is garaged kept mint conditions and has 43k miles on it. Never

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 2008 335i Coupe Questions

I am planning on ordering a 2008 335i Coupe for ED next year. I enjoy spirited driving but like a supple comfortable ride. Also I believe that ordering the Sport option requires the performance tires with a lower profile (accompanied by BMWs warning of possible suspension tire damage from bad roads). Again this would seem to enhance the handling but at what cost to comfort Im never taking the car to a track and I dont like speeding tickets so I really think a more comfortable ride would appeal more to me than a slightly higher skid pad score. I was looking at the 650i Coupe and the Sport option deleted the brightwork around the windows. On the 335i does the chrome stay with the Sport option Is the Jet Black color the blackest color offered. Im assuming the Black Sapphire Metallic decreases the color vibrancy. Ill get to the dealer and try to do some comparison myself but I would welcome any comments. Ive got my eyes on the following car 2208 335i Coupe Jet Black Black Dakota Leather w Aluminum Trim STEPTRONIC Auto Trans Premium Pkg Comfort Access Active Cruise Control Nav Heated front Seats Rear Sunshade iPodUSB Adapter Park Distance Not adding to the car Active Steering Sport Option (would love the paddle shifters as a separate option but not available) Please let me know what you think. Thanks. You cant order the coupe without the sport suspension its standard. Sounds to me like you would be happier with the vert(e93) which is less perfornance oriented and comes without the stiffer suspension. IF thats too much money an audi A5 or lexus IS350 would be softer suspended.

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 335i vs 335xi

I am debating weather to get i or xi. I am in NJ we do get snow but its not that much. Plus awd also makes the car heavier because of awd. Any suggestions from people who are driving 335i right know.

The new S5 A5 apparently have a better weight distribution something like 5446.
