AUDI A3 DVD Headrests For A3

I listed this in the electronics section as well. I didnt know if more A3 owners would be able to help me in this section but here goes I need help My five year old is driving me crazy. Does anyone know if any of the commercially available DVD headrest Units workfit in the A3 Any input or comments would be greatly appreciated.

My parents had a cayenne and we went to Al and Eds autosound asking about this same question. They said they had never done tvs in a cayenne headrest but they did it and it came out great. Id say go and ask Al and Eds or a place like it near you I am SURE they can get one in there. We did end up regretting getting this done for a few reasons [ul][]The screens were not adjustable so it was harder for

Fusion He said it correct. There are alot of portable units that you can hang from the headreast and they are adjustable and a whole lot cheaper. But if you do decide to put in headrest DVD unit the do have them that tilt and are also their own unit as well. it adjust to let you put a DVD in from the top with controls on the side. I had checked in on all this for my sister and my neice.

Thanks for the info I took your advice I originally thought the headrests would leave a less cluttered appearance in the car but after listening to your comments I purchased the portable player. Thanks again.

Yeah thats probably the cheapest and best route. Ive thought about it a lot before since I have 3 young kids. Fortunately the other ride is a minivan with the full set up and wireless headphones. Definitely worth the money for a long trip with kids. My poor parents with me and my brother...[&] LOL Cheers

AUDI A3 Removing the center rear headrest

Hi Anyone know how to remove this on an 07 2.0T Or is mine just defective I can raise it an inch or two but thats it. The two on either side I can pull free no problem. Thanks

Approach cautiously from the rear(). Push in the plastic button on the left side of the post and work that side of the headrestup a bit. Insert a small scredriver into the slot in the right hand post and work that side up a bit. Repeat working each side out a bit more until it comes out. Once youve gotten it out the first time it gets easier.

AUDI A3 Excessive cabin noise

Hello All I just got my A3 back from the dealer after a check of some very irritating items. One was for an excessive (I believe) noise which I thought might be a wheel bearing. The dealer tells me they checked every one and they were all OK and attribute the noise to the tires which they tell me are featheringcupping. I asked if it could bea suspension alignment or chassis issue and they tell me it

AUDI A3 figured out how to carry two labs

Im not sure how many of you have large dogs if you do you might be interested (or if you have a large girlfriend you may be interested too). I got tired of my two labs sliding all over the place in the back (with the seats folded down) they hated it and the plastic under the spare tire cover kept squeaking at every bump. To take care of it I cut a piece of 12 plywood to the same shape as the rear floor

Here are a couple of pics I snapped. Right now the carpet hangs over the headrests and even past a couple of inches. I like it hanging over the headrests so the dogs dont scratch them up. Tried it out today I took the dogs to the riverfront which means a couple of miles of nice windy roads they had no problem getting slung back and forth. On the first turn you could hear them dig their nails in but

My dogs did not like the back of the seat either I think it is because the carpet is so short they could not grip it and ended up scratching everything and sliding around. Thats why I did the carpet going up over the seat they dont cause any damage and the carpet rolls up so all the hair is inside. The nose prints on the windows are a different story Home depot will cut the wood for you just measure

Quote ORIGINAL nhobba3 Next Im going to figure out how to attach the carpet on the seat back with just a little overhang hanging there when the seats are upright so you dont even see it but I also dont have to unroll the entire thing up the back of the seats. Im thinking with velcro or some small black bunjee cords over the headrest they should slide under it so they would not even show. Ill update

AUDI A3 leather or vinyl-clad leather seats

Trying to determine whether the leather seats on the audi A3 are really leather or a vinyl clad leather product. Makes a difference as to what type of conditioners are to be used on the seat. Same question as to the headrest.

AUDI A3 A3 Bike Inside

I am considering purchasing an A3 but am wondering if my road bike would fit in the back if I folded the seats down I would probably have to take off the front tire. I am really hoping it would fit. The dealer does not have any A3 in stock otherwise I would just measure it.

Two bikes inside a car is one of my must-have requirements. I took my bike to the dealer to test fit before purchasing. I can put both my 64 cm Rivendell Rambouillet (34 inseam) and my wifes 53 cm Erickson in the A3 at the same time with the rear seats down. Yes the front wheels are off (but inside the car) but no need to remove rear racks or rear fenders. Front fenders however could be a problem since

AUDI A3 rear bench sear removal

Hey guys Im an avid road cyclist in addition to an A3 owner. I want to be able to load my race bike in the back (removing only the front wheel and the seatseatpost) and have it stand upright in the back to leave room for other gear I need with me at races. I have a 2x4 with a fork clamp that I secure the bike fork to in order to keep it from tipping over. This has worked very well for me with the SUVs

Hey Thanks for the advice worked like a charm Had to get over the fear that I was going to break something though. The clips that hold the front egde of the bench down are pretty tight. Wiggle your hands under the front lip on either side of the clip and pull straight upwards. Im not gonna kid you I had to put more force into it than I felt comefortable with but once youve done it youll get the feel.

great pics Will the bike fit the other way so you can just roll it in on the back tire or do you really need that extra space where your handle bars are going past the headrest

I agree with you atatx that would be the easier way to do it provided it fits. It isnt as easy to load as some of the subaru wagons or midlarge SUVs my teammates have but its A LOT BETTER than what I used to have to do. Take both wheels and seatpost off lay down in trunk wrapped in blankets carefully load other gear around it hoping nothing shifts during the drive and falls on it... Plus the A3

Very nice At the moment Im trying to get hold of a single video RCA cable that splits into two 3.5mm video jacks the idea being to pick up the video output of the HU and run it to two 7 headrest monitors. audio is handled by the HU so its literally just the video feed

AUDI A3 A3 seat removal

i need to get my leather seat restitched after airbag deployed i have been told i can remove the backrest is this possible

the back rest will have three clips holding it in at top. pull straight out at the top are of the backrest and then pull up to slide bottom off. as for the leather its kinda hard to describe how to remove but you will have to remove the backrest first then the headrest and there will be several straps that you can see that hold the leather down some go to the bottom of the seat and some you will see

AUDI A3 hate the seats

Hi I just got my 2006 A3 2.0 DSG w premium package in March of this year. I love the car but think the seat bottoms are absurdly small and uncomfortable. To make matters worse the seats are mounted slightly off center compared to the steering wheel (away from the doors) so that essentially Im sitting with half of my left buttock and thigh on the left bolster when Im driving. Now Im not a big guy with

RE the seats. The alignment to pedals and steering wheel dead pedal are fine for me. Specific to the seats I wish two things that the bottom cushions rear tilt could be adjustable for recline. I like the rearmost of the bottom cushion to be low with my knees up. Which leads me to suggest that the bottomcushion have an extenablelower thighknee support which would stick out from the bottom cushion to

HONDA FIT Fold seats flat to fit surfboard in A3

Im in the market for a 2011 - 2013 A3 TDI. I test drove one today and loved it. However I want to be able to keep my 9 surfboard inside the car (not on top). Board needs to stay in the car while Im at work and not get stolen off a rack. In other hatchbacks the seats fold flat and you can shove the nose of the board right up onto the dashboard. However on the 2011 A3 I drove today the headrest didnt

Ive answered my own question here. I was able to remove the headrest (though its a bit tricky) and fit my 9 board in no problem.

HONDA FIT Fit a Half-Stack in an A3

hey all considering a pair of purchases that have an odd relationship... an audi A3 and a guitar half-stack (head and 4x12 cab). im wondering if i need to reconsider either. are there any guitarists on the board who may use their 3s to haul their gear and if so is it possible to fit a head 4x12 cab and a few guitars in the hatch forgive me if this is too off topic i just thought id run it by you all before i make any assumptions. any help at all is appreciated thanks

I load my A3 up with a Marshall half stack gear bag and a couple of guitars no problem as badassbill states. One thing I like about the A3 is how easy it is to fold the rear seat down - one lever flip done (each side of course). The rear seat headrests arent an issue like in the 01 S4 Avant I had previously - it couldnt be simpler. The rear seat does cant up at a slight angle so it isnt a perfectly

AUDI A8 What are the differences between the A8 and S8

I went to the audi website and it is not clear. Are they the same size What else is different

All four go to the S8 this coming from someone who has driven both of them. The W12 is packing almost 500 more lbs plus the suspension isnt as stiff as the S8s. Traction isnt an issue on any audi other than the FWD A3. The best way to sum it up would be to drive both of them i think youll agree the A8 W12 is the ultimate in luxury and it drives fast but it doesnt put you back in your seat. The S8 is

BMW Z3 E36 Z4M First week review

Ive just finished up my first week with the new car and I must say that each day I like it more and more. Previously had an E39 M5 which was a powerful beast with incredible muscle...but the Z4M is pretty entertaining and of course a much more nimble car. The creature comforts are more spartan but that is part of the sports car experience. So my rants and raves after 7 days are 1) Drivetrain Love the

I think it can be sanded down and then just touched up...I hope. Anyway Im much more careful now... Ingressegress can be a bit tricky...Im expecting to break a cupholder or two at some point. Wish they had included a recessed grab handle in the roof...my passenger would like one too. 3) Seats and interior Love the seats though I wish it had a headrest angle adjustment. The car I traded in was an audi

KIA OPTIMA Auto wipers are fantastic

Sorry mr Munky if this topic has been discussed but I ran a search and found zilch....... We had a pretty crappy day yesterday and the call was for snow mixed with rain. What we got was basically rain but it was heavy and almost like snow. It came down like rain and I had to go for league bowling so I set the intermitent wipers on and off I went. The car being new and me not knowing to much about many

Canadian Optimas have rain-sensing wipers (not sure if theyre standard or part of an option group) while the US Optimas dont have them available at all. Pretty silly packaging decision IMHO. They are described in the owners manual along with forward-aft adjusting headrests that didnt appear until 2012. Rain-sensing wipers are one of the few things I miss from my audi A3.
