This is a new car for me and I have searched around for what most people use when replacing plugs. Im just wondering what most people replace the factory stuff with. Im just looking for the best overall plug. Any help is appreciated.

I dont think the spark plugs have been done for a while on my car. Just wondering what plugs you guys use for the 2.8L 30V. im in NY so the temp outside goes from really cold to really hot year round if that matters.

i think plugs need changing every 80000 km (50000 miles) or so. be sure to use the OEM plugs. how often do you change your oil (milage) if you do it every 8000 km (5000 miles) like i do then no you dont need to change the air filter. if you change the oil at twice the milage then i would replace the air filter.

I will disagree to some extent. Im not going to go as far as saying multi electrode plugs make an engine make more power or a discernible amount however they have reasons for being that are outside of the realm of making power. So last night I was at the store and we just got our first snow here and I turned on my car after shopping and was letting it warm up. Hi I got a audi A4 1999 model. It is a 2.8 with 6 cylinders. Now i need to do a 90K mile service on this one. What all shud i concentrate on Meineke said spark plugs brake fluid flush cabinoil filtersoil change - All for 420 Firestone all the above plus a complete check of car change drive belts (this alone was 200) upping the total to 700. I have a 2001 a4 2.8 quattro that is approaching 100k miles. Im deciding whether to keep it or trade it in for something newer. I was wondering what usually goes wrong around 100k miles - this is what has been replaced recently so far wheel bearings valve cover gasket timing belt and water pump at 80k wiper transmission coil packs coolant expansion tank was replaced display cluster and autodimming rearview mirror.

I have a 2001 2.8 ATQ A6. Having a weird issue. Car runs rough at idle but runs perfectly above 1100 rpms or so. I have the following codes p0300p0301p0302p0303p1340. I do more than 80 on the highway and get around 25. Stock tune 93 octane gas from Shell or Sunoco. -Any codes -Replace your spark plugs and make sure to gap them correctly. Hello I have a 2005 A8 4.2 with 62k on the clock. Just did an oil change along with air filter replacement and spark plug change. Looking to the future what should I expect I heard that I should replace the timing belt and Water pump around 75k and oil changes every 10k or my opinion 12-15k. Is this true and what else should be needed or do I plan on doing for regular maintenance up to 100k. Thanks a lot.

I would be curious about the water pump. I have not changed mine but I just had the timing belt changed at 75000 miles. Also I was told to do the spark plugs after 80000 miles.

97 AEB engine. I have k04 racetech intercooler giac tuning (k04-15) kinetics exhaust manifold high-flow cat borla exhaust. Hi all been a lurker for awhile my first post is a doozy. Yesterday my 02 allroad lost power engine light came on and then died. It would not restart. A 70 tow later to an area mechanic ( whom I do not know and 100 miles from my home) and a 132 diagnostic bill says that the engine gave a timing error ( I dont know the code yet) and that a compression test showed no compression indicating bent valves.

Hey guys I have an 02 1.8t B6 and I late3y my engine started acting up on me. All of sudden my car started idling rough and shaking while accelerating. I checked the spark plugs and ignition coils and theyre fine plus I dont have a CEL. The strange thing is that it gets better and the vibration isnt that bad but at other times it shakes like crazy. Right now it idles a little rough and rides smooth

Hmmm just thought about the fact that my car hasnt had the spark plugs replaced at 80000 (that I know of). Does anyone know the service interval for plugs on these cars

I am the 2nd owner of my 1989 2 door XJ red faded paint small ding on drivers door is all I have seen so far just looking it over. I have both the solid side windows and wing windows the OR was in the process of swapping out the windows doing the drivers side first. I took the running boards off but still have them to go with the jeep. It has an OEM swingout tire carrier bumper setup and a uhaul hitch.
