thanks for the replies. Correct NO Carter Motorcraft AKA Ford carb. Had been running great for over a year until this. When I took the old fuel filter off it rattled like a PCV valve the element was bouncing around inside. Is this normal The new one does not make any noise. I blew air via my lungs back into the fuel tank and had little or no resistance I assume the line is clear. The line from the

I wish I was better with carbs but that is not my department when it comes to fixing diagnosing those things but my jeep does not want to run anymore with that thing on it. ( Carter BBD ) Ive got a (25) year old car with an factory original Quadrajet carb on it. Other than changing out the fuel filter once in a while Ive never had any problems with it. Starts right up everytime and can drive right

JEEP WRANGLER I YJ Changing Fuel Filter Yj Wrangler 1990 Questions

Do I have to depressurize my fuel system to change the fuel filter Ive seen some videos on youtube of people that do not depressurize the fuel system and change the fuel filter with no problems. If I do have to depressurize the fuel system how do I do this Motor is a 1991 2.5 L 4 cylinder.

Should I replace the hose clamps if they are all rusted Also should I replace the fuel hose if it is hardened up Also I cant remove the bolt on the fuel filter clamp. Is it a necessity to remove the clamp to change the fuel filter I should be able to slide the fuel filter out with a loosened up fuel filter clamp right

Another question... This is a fuel filter.. httpwww.quadratec.comproducts51304_02.htm So I want to replace the black hoses that connect to it because they have hardened up. What are those hoses called and where can I find them online

The back end of the filter has a hose with a special molded end. Would the auto parts store still be able to replace it

I also found the elbow shaped gas hose that connects to the rear of the fuel filter on this webiste... httpwww.4wheelparts.comPerforman...pnJEP53004014 Before I buy it do I have to double check anything

JEEP WRANGLER Basic Maintenance - Fuel filter replacement

JEEP WRANGLER I YJ 1990 4.2 - How to test mechanical fuel pump

I am getting some chugging between 1200 and 1800 rpm while under load. It kind of comes and goes.
